Over the last few weeks and months a small group of us have been meeting with a common vision and have started to work together with local charities and volunteers. There is already a lot of very exciting activity taking place to support asylum seekers and refugees our town, from new charity Community Welcome, to the multicultural Benn Partnership Centre and established charity Hope4, to the many volunteers who have stepped forward, and we hope that Rugby Town of Sanctuary will help that activity to continue to thrive and grow.
The next few months will see a number of events that individuals and local organisations can support, which we hope will encourage more interaction in our local communities with those who are new here. Watch this space for news and events and do get in touch if you would like to get involved.
